Sylvania Academy - Platform for education and training

Sylvania, with a century-long heritage, specializes in designing and producing lighting solutions across diverse B2B sectors.

The company is dedicated to sharing knowledge among its employees through organized presentations by professionals from various disciplines within the company. Additionally, there is a focus on training customers to enhance their understanding of lighting, empowering them to make informed choices about the best lighting solutions. This includes providing the knowledge and skills necessary to configure and maintain their lighting systems effectively.

They established an educational platform named Sylvania Academy, and I was entrusted with the responsibility of designing a logo that embodies the concept of ‘golden knowledge’. Furthermore, I was tasked with crafting a Powerpoint template to ensure uniformity in identity across diverse presenters, despite the potential variance in their professional backgrounds.

Logo

In my design, I combined a ribbon to signify the achievement of knowledge with the letter ‘A,’ for immediate association with ‘Academy.’ This not only ensures quick recognition but also harmonizes seamlessly, drawing inspiration from the way people typically wear ribbons. However a golden texture has been applied to the digital appearance of the logo, it appears perfectly on promotional products as well with monochrome printing or mixed with golden foil stamping method.

Presentation

During the development of the presentation template, my focus was on harmonizing it with the company guidelines. I emphasized user-friendliness and ease of editing by incorporating multiple layouts into the Slide Master. Additionally, I secured every static graphic element and provided quick tips on the slides to facilitate an efficient editing experience.

I had the privilege of being one of the presenters, delivering a concise session on enhancing visual communication skills. In the examples below, I demonstrate the seamless integration of my template with my presentation. While offering various quick tips, this version excludes the technical know-how section.

Tip: avoid using the navigational bar at the bottom and click on the slides instead to move forward.
